Sometimes being a landlord on SL is quite difficult dealing with different personalities treating SL as real life. Things escalate so quickly and emotions run so high when someone doesn’t understand a function or weirdness of SL. Sometimes people think I’m some miracle-worker on the island, maybe I am, maybe I just learn fast. Sometimes being a landlord means your tennant takes nothing seriously. Sometimes being a landlord means being ignored. Sometimes being a landlord means that land owners abuse your expertise and think you are there to serve them 24/7, nevermind you might have a life of your own on SL. Sometimes being a landlord is stressful. Sometimes being a landlord means that your tenants will NEVER read anything on their own to learn or educate themselves about this wonderful SL world. (note to self to write a prim primer) Sometimes being a landlord you get an IM at 3 am and when you read it you take a drink at the same time and spray cola all over your monitor in hysteria.

I’ll preface this post by saying that we’ve had so many unusual items “lost” on our island. One of the most unusual items we’ve had lost for several months is a Russian Balalaika. That darned thing was 48 prims and took forever to find the whereabouts! I’ve found a human saddle (yes really) in the sky and we have some strange happenings over at Merlina and Marco’s place with the mystery missing sofa. Indigo and I have found several unmentionables in the weirdest places. Anjolie looses everything, but I think…well maybe it is best to say she’s just a huge dorkess sometimes! If you see a beautiful new raft, with bright orange pillows, please let Anj know! I think she’s lost a few houses too!

I’ve lost two flying bluejays. It is rather fun to think that they are off flying in some other sim…free.

The latest funny is the late night IM I got. I’ll see if you can guess who it was?

“i am such a blonde.. when u get a chance i could use ur help…lol.. my house went into the cliff. i have a copy of it so u can just delete it… im so sorry. went to wear one of my snakes and ended up wearing my home…lol”

Is it that easy to wear your house that is already rezzed? LOL Now this wouldn’t be quite as funny if you didn’t know that we had an all out island search for her white tiger just a few weeks before this! I am happy to report, the house was located buried deep inside Buena Vista cliff and it was happily returned to its owner. Equally happy are all the residents that the tiger was caught and now resides back on her home range.

Gosh those prims add up when you people lose stuff! LOL If you get prim returned to you from me it is either that you have rezzed it on my land, you lost it, or that it was auto returned to you and I know nothing about it. I will return it though if it is drawing on my prim. You all know just how precious they truly are!
